Mars Scuba interview

Tell us how Mars Scuba should sound.

We are rewriting the Mars Scuba site from the ground up — voice, structure, and copy. This short interview (25 questions) gives us the raw material to do that well. Skip anything you do not have an answer for; partial answers are still useful. When you are done, hit Save answers and a JSON file called mars_scuba_info.json will download. Drop it into the project root and we will take it from there.

The basics

Quick warmup so we can get the facts right on every page.

A sentence or two on the year, the founder(s), and what gap in the Pittsburgh dive scene you set out to fill.

Owners, lead instructors, anyone whose name should appear on the site. Pronouns and credentials welcome.

We have Tuesday–Saturday from your live site, but we want the exact open / close times.

Who you serve

Helps us point each section at the right reader.

For example: "first-time diver who saw a coral reef on vacation," "certified rec diver looking to sharpen skills," "tech-curious diver moving toward decompression."

It is fine to be honest — this helps us write copy that attracts the right customers and politely deflects the wrong ones.

What makes you different

The voice and the angle that nobody else can copy.

Examples to react to (steal or ignore): warm, technical, no-BS, patient, dry-humor, plain-spoken, expert, irreverent.

For example: "premier," "passion for diving," "unleash your potential," anything that sounds like a stock photo caption.

Training

Foundations is your differentiator — let us get the framing right.

For example: Open Water → Buoyancy Foundations → Drysuit Foundations → Rescue.

Trips & community

The reasons people stay after they are certified.

Gear & service

Retail is real revenue — let us frame it accurately.

Where people actually buy

So we can wire CTAs to the right next step.

A direct URL is great if you can share one.

Geography & credentials

Helps with local SEO and trust.
